Two types of bearings are used in the construction of a car: simple bearings and sliding bearings. We must not forget that a vehicle can contain a lot of bearings. Virtually all blocks in a car contain bearings. This depends on the correct operation of many systems / mechanisms / devices of primary importance (eg displacement system, gearbox, engine, wheels, etc.).

In general, all car bearings are subject to particularly heavy loads. Of these, the most stressed are the bearings of the wheel hub. Just imagine what conditions they are in: violent brakes, immediate acceleration, continuous wheel movement! At the same time, there are various forces that affect their operation. We mean radial, axial and combined forces. We also have to bear in mind that the wheel hub bearings are subject to unusually heavy loads and are in constant contact with temperature changes and agents of the external environment (shocks caused by road surface irregularities, road-scattered salt, dynamic loads caused by transmission, steering and brake mechanism). This is precisely why the wheel hub bearings have to meet very strict performance standards.

A wheel hub bearing can only be a simple bearing. Like any simple bearings, the wheel hub is composed of an external and an internal ring, which maintain and simultaneously divide the rolling elements (the latter also come in the bearing structure and may have different shapes).
