 Yale - Forklift Tires

Yale Forklift Tires in different shapes, sizes & categories. The most common types include pneumatic, polyurethane and solid tires.

Tires are the only link between the vehicle and the asphalt. Absolutely all the maneuvers performed at the wheel of a vehicle, traction, braking and steering, depend on the tires.

In fact, a number of attributes of the vehicle depend on those of the tire:

The power of the vehicle

It translates to the wheel by traction. For example, in order to benefit from the power of a powerful engine, a tire of high adhesion should be used. Otherwise, the power is lost by skidding and an unjustified wear of the tire is achieved.

Safety

Depending on the vehicle manufacturer's specifications, the tires are designed to withstand a definite load, maximum running speed and minimum braking distance.

Comfort

It is influenced by the rigidity of the tire and the height of the tire. The vehicle manufacturer recommends an optimal size. There is the possibility of choosing a larger diameter rim and a tire with a lower bead so that the total diameter of the wheel is kept. But a smaller tire will not provide the same comfort to passengers.

Maximum speed

Each tire comes from the manufacturer with the speed index on the bead, being guaranteed only if this maximum speed is respected.

If a tire with a speed index T (190 km / h) is mounted on a vehicle capable of running at 270 km / h, it is clear that the vehicle will not be used at full capacity.

Maximum supported load

All tires have a load index, which represents the maximum weight of the tire. If this limit is exceeded, the tire is subject to the risk of rapid damage and the safety during the run is considerably diminished. Of course, the guarantee is lost.
