 Yale - Forklift Transmission

The transmission system is an essential part of an Yale forklift. Without it, operating the forklift would be impossible. Yale forklifts come equipped with both automatic and manual transmission systems, allowing for a variety of uses.

The transmission system is the body of car bodies that takes over from the engine, passes, modifies and distributes the engine moment to the car's engine wheels.

The transmission system consists of subassemblies and bodies with specific roles as follows: clutch, gearbox, cardan transmission, main transmission, differential, gear-distributor, planetary shafts and final transmission.

Clutch

The clutch progressively engages and disengages the engine from the rest of the transmission, both at start and during the gear shift.

Gearbox

The gearbox changes the tensile force or speed, depending on the forward resistance value, and makes it possible to reverse without reversing the engine’s rotation and also allows the vehicle to stay longer while the engine is running.

Distributor reducer

The distributor reducer is only available for multi-axle motor vehicles. It has the function of transmitting the engine moment to the motor axles.

Cardan transmission

The cardan transmission drives the engine’s momentum from the gearbox to the main transmission. It is necessary due to the difference between the axes geometric axes, the difference caused by the oscillations of the suspension system.

Main transmission

The main transmission transmits the motor moment from the radial transmission in the longitudinal plane of the car to the differential and the planetary planes located in a transverse plane. The main transmission also increases the motor moment.

Differential

Differential allows the drive wheels of the same bridge, in turns, to travel different distances.

Planetary trees

Planetary shafts transmit the motor moment from the differential to the drive wheels.

Final transmission

Final transmission increases the overall transmission ratio. There are only some high-capacity buses and trucks.
