CATERPILLAR FORKLIFT HEAD CYLINDER

Caterpillar Forklift engine has numerous functional parts & Head Cylinder is rated as the most valuable amongst them. It can be found at the top of the cylinder in an internal combustion(IC) engine. A metallic gasket seals off the joint between cylinder & head in the irregular surfaces for leakage prevention. The forklift engine works best when all the components like a head cylinder are properly maintained. Air & fuel oil pass through the head cylinder to reach the combustion chamber, with allowance for exhaust. It also houses Valves, spark plugs & fuel injectors

The head cylinder is made of various multi-operational parts like exhaust valves, intake valves, springs & gaskets. These equipments facilitate the intake of fuel and air & disperse away of the exhaust gases and fumes from the engine to the manifold.  Cylinder head possesses some passages which are generally called as ports & you can also find ducts for the smooth passage of water & coolants.  

Using a single cylinder head for all cylinders in line straight engine is a common scenario for today’s forklift trucks. However, because of performing heavy duty tasks, the model of the forklift engine has been shifted to one cylinder head for an individual cylinder formula. The change in structure reduced the maintenance & replacement cost to a great extent.
