Forklift Master Cylinder is essentially a control device which is one the most important part of a forklift braking mechanism. It basically does the work of converting non-hydraulic pressure into hydraulic pressure. Master cylinder also allows brake liquids to transfer the applied breaking force into all four wheels of a forklift truck. Optimized quantity of brake oil is supplied to the master cylinder form a brake oil reservoir which is situated just above the brake master cylinder. This process enables the master cylinder to apply requisite amount of pressure to the braking system.

Forklift master cylinders are formed with components like-primary and secondary reservoirs, primary and secondary pistons, rubber cup, a housing and return springs. A foot operated hydraulic pump is also included by the brake master cylinder just to send pressurized brake fluids into the brake calipers.
