Even if a very less amount of electricity passes through the electrical assemblies, Caterpillar Forklift Solenoid Valves are there to close them. These magnetic devices create a massive switch to force a small plunger outwards. Thus the pinion gear is compelled by the teeth of the flywheel while it moves the crankshaft, & eventually kicks the internal combustion system of the engine to start.

Inside the forklift starter, the solenoid valve is fixed at the back of the ignition key ring. The position of this ring changes with different models. Sometimes it’s on the dashboard while sometimes it’s found at the side of the steering column. The “skin” needs to be taken off to reveal the starter & the valve comes after that. Battery problem is a quite common phenomenon that is responsible for the interruption of its function. With low battery, the solenoid cannot flame up the starter.  Whenever the battery is low, it makes a loud ticking sound.

The body of the valve needs to be conformable with the fluid. Plastic, stainless steel, brass and aluminum are some of the materials those are used to build up a valve. The seals should act too with the fluid. The stainless steel can be magnetic or non-magnetic both.
