BRAKE ASSEMBLY - FITS HYSTER FORKLIFT

The Hyster Forklift Brake Assembly is a very vital part of a forklift truck. A good braking system can turn the forklift into a functional one; on the contrary, it can become a destructive one with a malfunctioning braking system. The Hyster Forklift Brake Assembly is comprised of multiple components-

• Wheel cylinder
• Braking plate
• Brake drum

• Brake shoes

Wheel Cylinder:

The brake is managed by two wheel cylinders attached to two wheels. The hydraulic power supplied by both the cylinders assists the brake shoe so that it can contact with the brake drum. The brake shoes regain their positions as soon as the brakes are released by the operator.

Braking Plate:

The braking plate is strong and wear resistant enough to undergo the pressures discharged by the brake shoe & brake drum. In the braking assembly, all the components are held strong with the aid of the braking plate.

Brake Drum:

The shape of this component is quite similar to a drum. When the brake paddle is pushed, it conflicts with the rotating wheel. The brake drum is manufactured from cast iron which makes it corrosion preventive and heat-conductive and gives the assurance of long life. While emergency, the component forces the forklift truck to halt at once.

Brake shoe:

This component is comprised of two forged solid steels. This is attached to frictional element and positioned quite close to the brake drum. When the brake is pressed, the shoe changes its place and moves against the drum.
