The Hyster Forklift Torque Converter is a part of the transmission system of the forklift. This is a fluid coupling which delivers the power to the transmission. It makes the engine independent of the transmission and allows it to rotate more or less. When forklifts of automatic transmission get obstructed by obstacles, this feature becomes very effective in those cases.

The Hyster Forklift Torque Converter is comprised of the three vital parts- turbine, stator and pump.  The turbine is a revolving component which rotates at the exact same rate as the engine. In the center of the converter, the stator inverses the movement of the hydraulic fluid of the turbine before striking the pump again. If the pump gets hit by the fluid continuously, the speed of the engine slows down which causes a wastage of power. When the forklift is not in operation, the turbine reduces its speed so that less amount of fluid may get inside.
